Bikaner
Bikaner is a typical desert town with a characteristic old center.
This city is considerably less popular with tourists than other major cities in Rajasthan.
A long bazaar street leads to the impressive Junagarh Fort. This beautiful fort is made of the famous red sandstone. The fort wall is almost 1 kilometer in length and has 37 bastions and two gates. Inside the wall are beautiful pavilions and temples.
This fort, built between 1587 and 1593, is definitely worth a visit. It is a beautiful piece of culture and one of the most ornate and best preserved forts in Rajasthan.
