Jammu
Jammu is the ‘winter capital’ of the province of Jammu and Kashmir.
The city is in the far north of India, near the unmeasurable Himalayas.
It is located between the Kashmir Valley in the north and the Daman Koh Plains in the south. Nevertheless this region has a beautiful landscape and is also the home of many Hindu temples.
You can travel to Jammu for mild winters, pleasant summers, many adventurous and recreational activities. The hillside landscape surprises visitors on every corner and it is breathtaking.
For years the state of Jammu and Kashmir was a “no go” area due to political unrest. In recent years, peace has been restored and travelers are returning to the overwhelming beauty of nature and its friendly residents.
