Pushkar
Pushkar is the place that houses the only temple in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma. Hindus consider a trip to Pushkar the ultimate pilgrimage and they strive to undertake the journey to be saved.
Pushkar is a sleepy town all year round, beautifully situated on a lake. And then it’s the end of October or the beginning of November and everything changes.
Once a year, in October or November, the camel fair takes place in Pushkar. About 200,000 people and no less than 50,000 camels come to this fair every year. It is the largest collection of camels in the world.
Several religious and cultural events take place during the fair.
In addition, there is also a large market where camels are traded.
It is quite busy in Pushkar during this time of year, but it is very special to experience this event.
