Udaipur
Udaipur has a very different atmosphere than the other cities in North India. It seems much more relaxed there. The temperature is more pleasant, especially in the evening when the temperature drops.
Udaipur is also called ‘Venice of the east’, and with its many lakes it seems that way.
The beautiful city also has a cozy and romantic appearance. The fact that it is on the water, that is very nicely lit, helps enormously.
The film Octopussy by James bond is also partly shot here for a number of scenes. So when you visit the city, be sure to watch the film in one of the roof top restaurants.
